Winner in Music on March 21st, 2010
Beth, a senior, is an excellent student and passionate musician. She holds a 4.182 weighted grade point average and scored 25 on the ACT. She is ranked 17th in a class of 291 seniors. Beth is the Drum Major for the DeSoto Central High School Band and section leader in the DeSoto Central High School Choir. She has been selected for the Delta State Honor Choir, DeSoto County Honor Choir, Mississippi State Honor Choir and District II Honor Choir. She also received a Student of the Month designation from the local Rotary Club. Beth also is a member of the National Honor Society. She is a strong-willed and determined student who is known for her leadership and insightfulness. She is an active member of her church youth group and annually volunteers to work with the church's Vacation Bible School. In addition, she volunteered on an African mission trip twice.
