Elizabeth Ku - Arlington High School

Elizabeth, a senior, is an outstanding student and leader. She has consistently been ranked first in a senior class of 525 students. She has taken many honors and Advanced Placement classes. She holds a 4.42 weighted grade point average and scored 35 on the ACT. Elizabeth has been inducted into the National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, National Science Honor Society, Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta and the Junior Classical League. Her other achievements include scoring first place on the National Latin Exam, Top Ten in the Tennessee Math Teachers Association Geometry Contest and Optimist Club Essay Winner. Elizabeth was selected to attend the National Beta Club Convention for English. She is musically talented and has received various honors while being an important part of the Arlington High School Concert and Marching Band. She was selected All West Band, Superior in Solo and Ensemble, Excellent in Mid-South Flute Festival, All West Orchestra, All State Band and All West Red Band. Elizabeth is a conscientious Squad Leader for the band. She also is president of the National Latin Society, secretary of the English Honor Society and member of the Academic Team. In addition, Elizabeth serves the community as a private tutor and at various band camps. She also assisted in the opening of Arlington High School by preparing registration materials for more than 2,000 students and parents.
