
Winner in Music on March 21st, 2010
Logan, a senior, is an excellent student and talented musician. He holds a 3.647 unweighted grade point average, scored 31 on the ACT and 2060 on the SAT. He currently is enrolled in AP English IV, AP U.S. Government, and Calculus-Dual Enrollment, which will give him eight college credit hours. Previously he earned 18 credit hours for Advanced Math, Physics and U.S. History. Logan recently made the Tennessee All-State Choir for the third time. He has been a member of the All-Northwest Choir for the last five years. He plays the saxophone and was the section leader for the marching band. He also is a member of the Symphonic, Concert and Jazz bands. He was selected for and attended the Tennessee Governor's Academy. He is a three-year member of the Brighton High School Show Choir and has been a member of the Advanced Choir. He has been inducted into the National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta, the math honor society. He participates with the Knowledge Bowl Team, Chess Club, Youth Alive and the Spanish Club. Logan uses his musical talent each week by running the sound system at his church. He also plays an active part with the youth group and helps with Vacation Bible School. In addition, he assists with the Second Harvest Food Distribution Center. As a member of the Show Choir, Logan makes numerous trips to nursing homes and performs for various organizations. He also serves the community with several Honor Society projects including providing Thanksgiving baskets for the needy and helping families at Christmas.
