Anterrika Williams - Marion High School

Anterrika, a senior, is a top student who has shown skill in the Medical Professions Program at Marion High School. She holds a 3.796 weighted grade point average and plans to pursue a career as a nurse anesthetist. She has taken every course offered in this vocational area of study and has been invaluable to the program. Last year Anterrika won first place at the HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) state conference for her Health Career Display. She received a scholarship. She also was selected for the MASH program, a highly selective medical education program sponsored by Crittenden Regional Hospital. She received a Clinical Internship which included a rotation through every medical experience. She learned about every vocational option available in the field. Realizing the challenge of being a nurse anesthetist, Anterrika has taken concurrent college classes, completed the Medical Professions Vocational coursework and become involved in HOSA and other clubs that might help in the future. Anterrika is a member of the National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, MedProEd, Disciples Club, Teachers of Tomorrow, Interact and HOSA. She was named the Goldsby Scholar at Mid-South Community College. She is a leader and role model to her peers. Anterrika also serves with the Delta Christian Association, an organization that serves the community in various ways. At her church, she serves as secretary of the Dance Ministry and is involved in the Youth Ministry and Girls Ministry.
