
Winner in Music on December 25th, 2011
Diana, a senior, has an inner drive that motivates her to excel. She strives for perfection in all aspects of her life. She holds a 5.37 weighted grade point average, scored 31 on the ACT and 2270 on the SAT. She is a talented pianist who used her love of music when producing “Belles Melodies,” the school’s performance compilation CD. Selected to attend the prestigious Interlochen Arts Camp in Michigan as a piano major, Diana earned strong reviews and received a Fine Arts Award in Music. She also was chosen for the Tennessee Governor’s School for the Arts, and she attended the Sewanee Summer Music Festival. She was a 2011 Lorna and Ernest Lender Scholar. Diana is president of the Chinese Club and vice president of Mu Alpha Theta. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society, Quill and Scroll, National Beta Club and National French Honor Society. She is a member of the French and Diversity Clubs. In 2009, she received the U.S. President’s Volunteer Service Award for service to the Kumon Learning Center.
