Winner in Drama & Speech on February 21st, 2010
Corwyn, a senior, is a top student and active leader. He holds a 3.2 grade point average and scored 30 on the ACT. He is a member of the Academic Knowledge Team and the National Spanish Honor Society. He currently is taking Advanced Placement English and Advanced Placement Calculus. He consistently takes a college preparatory course load. Corwyn received the school's Academic Achievement Award. His leadership as the Vice-President for Fundraising for the Drama and Speech Society has enabled the organization to grow tremendously. He also is a leader on the Cougar Vision Broadcasting Team. In addition, he has performed in several plays at a local theatre, including "Rebel without a Cause." Corwyn also volunteers on a regular basis for the theatre and this community involvement has become an important aspect of his life. His aid at the Historic Ruffin Theater has furthered its production ability and he has been part of improving that theatre. Corwyn also lent a huge helping hand in the First Annual Cougar Camp, a two-day event designed to ease the anxiety of incoming ninth-graders by showing them all aspects of Munford High School.
