Gerald Dyson - Covington High School

Gerald, a senior, is a mature and resourceful leader in the classroom and for Covington High School’s C-TV/School Broadcasting group. . He holds a 3.25 unweighted grade point average. He has run the sound and lights for every show since he was a freshman. When experiencing technical difficulties with computers, lighting, speakers or other equipment, he uses his technical savvy and adaptability to keep projects on track. He has earned the title as the “go to” guy. A four-year member of the 3.0 Club, Gerald is bright, inquisitive, dedicated and hardworking. He is a member of the marching and concert bands, the yearbook staff, the mentoring men’s group, the tennis team, HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) and FFA (Future Farmers of America). He also is a member of the Youth Praise Band. He is a band section leader and has received band awards three times. Along with the student body, Gerald worked with the Make-a-Wish Foundation three straight years to grant children’s wishes. Gerald’s cooperative spirit, positive attitude and easy-going disposition make him a valuable asset to his community.
